I wanted to send a postcard
about what a nice place Casita Laurita is to write. I've almost finished my novel after being stuck for months. It is an amazing pad. It's also a great base for jaunting off to less American-inhabited towns."

Casita Laurita: The Digs

Bedrooms & Baths

Casita Laurita has two bedrooms, each on its own floor and its own en-suite full bath. One bedroom has a queen bed, and one is full, both with firm mattresses, high-thread-count cotton sheets, and down or poly pillows. The bathrooms are well-appointed with hand-made ceramic sinks, organic soap, and fluffy towels. The top bedroom doubles as a media center, with flat-screen cable TV, DVD player and film library. IPod ready, CD player. Screened doors.

Both bedrooms have ample storage in built-in closets, drawers, and armoire. Both beds also have reading lights, alarm clocks, and bedside tables. A guest can sleep on the napping couch in the office.

Writing Studio

With a 13-foot desk, ergonomic keyboard drawer, two comfy task chairs and napping couch, you may just finish your novel. Wireless Internet access.

The kitchen is the heart of the house, with a table and couch for gathering. Furnished by a food writer, the kitchen has good knives, all manner of coffeemakers and teapot, microwave, toaster oven, wine storage, and iPod player. Four-person table folds out for entertaining; hang out with the cook on stools at the island or on the couch. Locally made, lead-free ceramic dishes.

Casita Laurita has plenty of places to lounge around in the sun and read a good book… If you forgot one, you can probably find one in the writing studio! Wet bar on the upper terrace. Wet bar on top terrace.
